Nationwide wanted to implement an exclusive distributor marketplace called eXchange, where their members could see over 200 brands from almost a dozen distributors compare prices, check inventory and submit orders.
Nationwide implemented the Singularity Commerce Management Platform to power the eXchange marketplace website. Having the ability to easily add multiple distributors, show consistent rich content, provide unique merchandising opportunities and have a simple to use checkout for multiple distributors was exactly what Nationwide needed to fulfill their vision.
When it launched, the eXchange was the “buzz” at the Nationwide PrimeTime event, a twice yearly buying fair the organization holds. Members were excited to have access to an eCommerce site where they could get information for a wide array of products, compare pricing from multiple distributors, see inventory levels and easily submit orders to multiple distributors using one site and checkout.
